Rice Pot

History: Longpi black pottery originated from the village of Longpi in Manipur, India. It has been developed by the Tangkhul Naga women.

Materials: Longpi pottery is made of a mixed paste of ground black serpentinite stone and special brown clay. The clay is native to only Longpi village.

- Longpi pottery is susceptible to thermal shock, which can cause cracking or breakage.
- Avoid exposing the pottery to extreme temperature changes.
- Longpi pottery should be stored in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture from accumulating inside the pottery.
- Avoid stacking the pottery, which can cause it to crack or break.
